Tribal Junior MMA Fight team

Our Tribal set up has a junior mma fight team that entered their first competition on 10th October 2021 on the JMMAC program at Gamebred Academy in Brisbane.  Prior to competition our competitors attended a seminar going through skills and drills relating to the cage and mma. Our first junior fight team was Tyson Tokelove, Billy Pylilo, Metodi Baru, Charlie Didlick. This was the first time for competition for our boys and they performed exceptional. Both Tyson and Billy fought against larger and older opponents with Billy wining his bout. Tyson just getting pip in the last round. Metodi and Charlie were in the same division with 2 other fighters and our boys did extremely well. With Metodi eventually winning the division. Charlie was not far off the mark and did exceptionally well. We are so proud of our young boys as they showed great sportsmanship and heart during their bouts. A great reflection of our Tribal team.

On Sunday 12th December 2021 we entered the JMMAC program again with our second team. We had 7 competitors and growing well. Our team boys did extremely well, Dominic Baru getting gold, Jayden Mahoney securing bronze, Tyson Tokelove got a bronze in his division which was very strong. Young Roman getting a silver medal against a very strong competitor. Metodi, Charlie fought well but missed out on medals and Mason Asi had two tough matches and missed out on a win losing his fist match in overtime. Mason put on a great show especially never competing before like most of our team against more experience opponents. Thanks again to Jade my assistant trainer and parents who came to support our very talented and hungry young team.  

We were very fortunate to enter competition again in May 2022 after covid limited competitions. We had a small team of 4 students competing, Young Charlie, Chase and twins Noah and Jacob. Charlie won Gold, Chase Silver, Noah Gold, Jacob Silver. The boys did exceptionally well and showed the skills our young team is developing as well as showing respect to their opponents.
