When coming to our Tribal set up we have a number of rules in terms of Gym Etiquette. It's imperative that new members and current members comply with our rules to ensure we continue to provide a training environment that is clean and safe for members to train as well as behaviour when training is respectful to both members and instructors. We pride ourselves on being a safe training place that is focus towards being free from bullying, discrimination and predatory behaviour. Our gym has been nominated for numerous small business awards as well as acknowledged for our inclusive and diverse programs.

1. Please ensure when attending our gym you wear appropriate foot wear to and from the gym. Shoes are not permitted on our mats. You MUST wear foot wear when in the toilet as we are very conscious of ensuring bacteria is not transferred onto the mats. As we want to reduce the risks of Staphylococcus, ringworm and other similar infections entering our gym.

2. Please ensure you cut your toe nails and fingernails before classes. As we want to reduce cuts and scratches to members during training sessions.

3. Please do not come to the gym with open wounds and cuts. They need to be either healed or covered sufficiently that they will not reopen or spread infections to other members and instructors when training. Please do not come to the gym if you have any contagious illnesses, such as cold, flu, covid and any other similar viruses. We have a first aid kit on site if medical attention is required.

4. Please respect each others space within our training centre.

5. When using training equipment, punching bags, mats, ensure everything is wiped clean with our anti bacterial wipes. Please ensure the mats are mopped with disinfectant provided at the gym. Please ensure training equipment is wiped down and put back after use. Under no circumstances is equipment allowed to be removed from our training centre without prior permission from coaching staff.

6. Under no circumstances are current members allowed to bring non members to our set up without prior permission from coaching staff. Especially after hours and when classes are not operating.  Our insurance for the gym is very clear in terms of strict compliance for members only.

7. New members or casual members will be required to sign a waiver form prior to commencing training.

8. Arrive early prior to classes where possible. Please be mindful if arriving late you do not disrupt the flow of the class that has already commenced.

9. Ensure you wear clean training attire that is suitable for classes. Rashies, mma shorts etc are recommended for No Gi and MMA grappling classes. Bjj Classes with Gi, you will be expected to wear a suitable Bjj Gi. Please make sure that training attire is clean after every class and it is recommended that you use anti bacterial soap to wash garments to reduce the spread of infections.

10. REMEMBER Your Instructor, Coach are your instructor and coach, we are not counsellors or doctors. If you require to speak to a professional please ask and if we have appropriate agencies within our contacts we can refer them to you. If an instructor or a coach recognises a member struggling with mental health issues we will be strongly recommending you to seek medical help prior to recommencing classes.

11. We want all members to have fun when training at Tribal, we want members to be respectful of everyone to ensure we continue to provide an environment that is harmonious and free from disruptive behaviour.

12. We pride ourselves of being respectful as well as being a good training partner. It is not win at any costs as you may be asked to leave if behaviour is deemed in appropriate.

13. Please limit disruptive noise, phone calls when classes are operating as this can be disrespectful to training staff and other members participating in the class.

14. Please ensure you are mindful to wear appropriate training gear that is clean and safe to participate in sessions. Mouth guards, cups, boxing gloves, shin guards, are suitable and safe for training.

Be that role model that will encourage others to  train. We want to create a community that has a vibe that encourages you to want to come back. Spreading rumours, creating clicks within groups are not behaviours we want to create. If you are identified displaying aspects like this, you could be asked to leave our centre immediately. We have a very strong reputation as being a family environment. We want to continue to improve and provide a safe training space for everyone who becomes part of our Tribal community.
